Our Story
TeraCraft is East Africa's dedicated natural building brand, specializing in stabilized rammed earth, bamboo, and carbon-conscious construction. Built on the decade-plus expertise of Vishcon Builders Enterprise Ltd a Nairobi based family firm operating since 2012 we bring the engineering rigour and project discipline of an established contractor to materials that tread lightly on the land. Rammed earth is one of the oldest building methods known to humanity, and one of the most relevant to our future. By compacting locally sourced, stabilized soil into solid, load-bearing walls, we create structures with exceptional thermal mass, durability, and a dramatically lower carbon footprint than concrete or fired brick — each one carrying the color and texture of the earth it came from. Our work is grounded in delivery, not theory, including a rammed earth wall project at Laikipia county. We believe sustainable construction is not a compromise on quality, but a return to it. This is craft and conscience, built to last.

OUR SERVICES
Rammed Earth Walls - Building with the earth beneath our feet.
We specialise in stabilised rammed earth construction — an ancient technique reimagined for contemporary East African architecture. Using soils sourced close to site and compacted into monolithic walls, we deliver buildings with exceptional thermal mass, structural integrity, and a striking, layered aesthetic that no other material can replicate. From thin-panel cladding to full load-bearing walls, every surface tells the story of the ground it came from.
Lime Plaster & Tadelakt - Surfaces that breathe.
Lime plaster is a time-honoured, breathable finish that regulates moisture, resists mould, and ages gracefully unlike cement renders that trap damp and crack. We apply both traditional lime plasters and Tadelakt, the polished Moroccan lime finish renowned for its seamless, water-resistant surface in bathrooms, walls, and feature areas. Each finish is hand-applied and tinted with natural pigments, giving every wall depth, softness, and a quiet luxury.
Earthbag Construction
Resilient building, bag by bag.
Earthbag construction stacks earth-filled bags into strong, load-bearing walls and domes — a low-cost, disaster-resilient method ideal for affordable housing and challenging sites. Using soil close to site, the technique requires minimal cement, withstands seismic and flood stress, and lends itself to both rectilinear and domed forms. It's a practical, accessible approach that puts durable, dignified building within reach of more communities across the region.
Bamboo Construction
Strength that grows.
Bamboo is one of the fastest-growing, most renewable building materials on earth — and one of the strongest by weight. We design and build with treated structural bamboo, from full framing systems and roof structures to split-beam detailing and decorative screens. Properly cured and protected against pests and moisture, bamboo offers a low-carbon alternative to timber and steel that's perfectly suited to East African climates and locally available species.
Clay Bricks Construction- Fired by tradition, built to last.
Clay bricks are one of East Africa's most trusted building materials — locally produced, naturally insulating, and proven over generations. We work with both fired and stabilised clay bricks, including interlocking soil-stabilised blocks (ISSBs) that reduce mortar use, speed up construction, and cut costs without compromising strength. Whether for load-bearing walls, decorative facades, or contemporary brick detailing, we source responsibly and build with precision, giving every project the warmth, texture, and longevity that only clay can deliver.
